2026–2027 Delta Scholarship Application

Application Deadline: January 31, 2027

The Lake Charles Alumnae Chapter awards a $4,000 scholarship, disbursed in two $2,000 installments for college tuition, to an eligible graduating high school senior from Calcasieu Parish.

Applicants must:

• Be a resident of Calcasieu Parish.

• Be a graduating high school senior in May 2027.

• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

• Plan to attend a four-year college or university as a full-time student in Fall 2027

All application materials must be submitted by the deadline. Late applications will not be considered.

Selected applicants will be invited to participate in an interview within six weeks following the deadline. Finalists must attend the interview in business attire to receive further consideration.

Personal Essay

Essay Topic: "Where Do I See Myself In 10 Years"

Applicants must submit an essay addressing the topic above. The essay must meet the following requirements:

• At least 500 words

• Five paragraphs

• Times New Roman font, size 12

  
  

  Essays will be evaluated based on content, grammar, presentation, and writing skills.

Required Documents

Please submit the following documents as part of your scholarship application.

1. Letters of Recommendation (2 letters of recommendation are required)

Who may provide a recommendation?

• A school counselor, teacher, or principal (on official school letterhead).

• A member of the clergy or organizational sponsor (in proper letter format).

  
  

Each letter must include:

1. How long the reference has known the applicant.

2. In what capacity the reference knows the applicant.

3. Comments regarding the applicant's intellectual ability, maturity, motivation, and/or interpersonal skills.

4. The reference's contact information.

3. Official High School Transcript

An official high school transcript is required to complete your scholarship application.

Transcripts must be submitted directly by a school counselor or authorized school official using the link below. Transcripts submitted by students will NOT be accepted.

Applicants are responsible for sharing the submission link with their school counselor and ensuring their transcript is submitted by January 31, 2027.
