The Emergency Response Team (ERT) Committee is committed to strengthening community preparedness by promoting safety, disaster awareness, and emergency response initiatives throughout Calcasieu Parish. Through education, outreach, and strategic partnerships, the committee works to help individuals and families prepare for emergencies while supporting vulnerable populations.

 

One of the committee's signature initiatives is its annual senior fire safety effort, conducted in partnership with local public safety agencies and community organizations. Volunteers assist with installing smoke alarms in the homes of senior citizens, including specialized alarms for residents who are hearing impaired, while also providing valuable fire safety education and resources. Through these collaborative efforts, the Lake Charles Alumnae Chapter remains dedicated to protecting lives, increasing emergency preparedness, and serving the community with compassion and excellence.
